The Easiest Way to Mix Patterns
Thursday January 17, 2013
When it comes to pattern mixing, I don't think it gets any easier than mixing stripes with polka dots; especially if the patterns are all black and white. So if any of you have been wondering how to mix patterns, try pairing two black and white patterned items (like stripes+polka dots, or perhaps stripes+florals). It's that easy you guys!

I wore this to work and also to dinner with my family at the beautiful Causeway. I absolutely loooove the view of the skyscrapers and boats from this area of Panama... I find it to be so relaxing!

I was curious if you ever considered changing the
ReplyDeletestructure of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to
say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?

I adore this outfit and your arm party. Officially your newest follower. You have some serious style girl!
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit. I agree adding stripes and florals together are the easiest to do! :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks really great together. I first started mixing prints in college with my professional wardrobe. I like mixing floral print tops (in any combination of colors) with pinstripe pants. Though I have yet to try two bold prints like in your outfit.
ReplyDeleteAaaww, thank you Elena!! I really appreciate your kind words and the follow!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ali!! I was pretty skeptical at trying pattern mixing at first, but once you give it a try it becomes quite addictive! hehehe.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharon!! I totally understand, I get scared when mixing patterns too!!! But every now and then I will come up with a mix that I like. You should give it a try and see if perhaps with subtle prints you feel comfortable :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!! You are so sweet!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kimberly!! Oh, I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed the Causeway as well! I know I've said it several times, but I think its amazing that you've visisted and that we've been in the same places... hehe.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha Oh Lydia, I guess the weather over there is pretty cold right now right? So sorry about that! I wish it was a little cooler here (its Summer right now, so everyday has a blazing sun). Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!
ReplyDeleteAaaaawww, thank you Julie!!! You are so so sweet!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ivette!!! I've actually never tried stripes with leopard print, but it sounds aaaaawesome!! I'll have to give that one a try, thanks for the idea ;)
ReplyDeleteAaaww thank you Terry!!! You always have nice things to say, thank you so much. And I'm so flattered that you would consider featuring this look on your blog, YAI!

ReplyDeleteWao, thank you so much for all your kind words Rebecca!!! I really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heidi!!! I'm glad to hear you agree!
ReplyDeleteThank you Annabelle!! Ooohh, I've never thought about mixing floral tops with pinstripe pants, that sounds like such a cool combo though! Yeah, I'm usually kind of afraid when I mix two bold prints like today, but in the end I'm usually pretty happy with the outfit I come up with ;)
ReplyDeleteSOOOOOOO cute! I love, love, love this. Stripes and polka dots have been my favorite to mix forever, but your boat neck top and pencil skirt take it up a notch.
