I have always been a big fan of stripes because they look so effortlessly chic. That is why I am so happy to see that bold stripes are a huge trend for this Spring and Summer 2013. And you can sport the look too!
Here are 5 ways ways in which you can wear the bold stripes trend:
Probably the easiest and most effortless way to wear this trend is to wear a black and white outfit. Try pairing a black and white striped shirt with black trousers (look 3) or a black skirt (look 4), for example. Not only is this combo easy to wear, but black and white is also another huge trend this Summer... win win!
2. Colorful Stripes
Yes, of course black and white is the easiest of combinations, but don't be afraid to wear some colorful stripes too!! Try finding a cute striped dress and pair it with simple wedges (look 3). Or if you are feeling bold, pair a colorful striped top with an even more colorful skirt (look 1).
For those of you who are feeling daring, why not pair bold stripes with another print?! Stripes are probably the easiest of prints to mix with, so don't be afraid to pair it with polka dots, florals, or other geometric shapes. I promise you will look super trendy!
4. Nautical stripes
Who doesn't own a classic navy and white striped shirt in their closet right?! Another take on the bold stripe trend is to wear it with a nautical vibe. Try wearing stripes with the classic red, white, and blue combo (Also perfect for the 4th of July!). If you don't own any red in your closet, yellow is another great color to make nautical outfits with (like look 4).
5. Striped Cardigan or Jacket
A striped cardigan or jacket is a great way to take on this trend. Try combining a striped jacket with a simple white dress (look 2) or black dress (look 4). Or if you are feeling bold, try pairing a striped jacket with a striped dress (look 1). I'm sure you will capture everyone's attention!
So there you have it! Hope you have all enjoyed these tips on how to stay on trend this Summer :) How would you wear the bold stripes trend? I would love to hear your ideas, please share!
