An early Christmas present
Wednesday December 5, 2012
I remember when I first started dating my boyfriend (nearly 5 years ago), he told me a cute story from his childhood. He said that every Christmas when he was a kid, he would receive an advent calendar that had a chocolate treat for every day before Christmas day.
I could tell by the way he said this story that this was a special memory from his childhood, so I promised myself that I would make him an Advent Calendar someday with chocolate treats ... And this year I finally did!
{Dress: Used to be my sister's (Similar here!) ; Tights: Asos.com (Similar here!) ; Heels: Via Vai (Panama) (Similar here!) ; Clutch: Asos.com (Find it here!) ; Watch: Asos.com (Find it here!)}
I wrapped 25 matchboxes and put chocolates and other treats in each one. I put all the wrapped boxes in a festive bowl and gave it to my boyfriend today. He loved it! YAI!
I'll be posting a tutorial on how to make this Advent Calendar this weekend, so stay tuned ;)
Hope you are all having a great week!

ReplyDeleteFirst- that outfit is beyond precious- I love the colored tights and the nude pumps!
ReplyDeleteSecond- I love your version of the Advent Calendar- so thoughtful and cute. We just bought Sean a terrible cheap one from Target, but he loves getting that piece of chocolate every day :)
This is so sweet and thoughtful! I am glad he liked the gift. :)
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing when I was little. I always looked forward to eating a chocolate everyday! haha :)

Aww, this is such a cute idea! We used to have advent calendars from the drugstore with little chocolates in them. They were so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThese tights go perfectly with the dress! And how cute is the deconstructed advent calendar? You're a doll.
