{DIY}: 101 Dalmatians Hair Bows Tutorial
Hey guys!!! This past Thursday marked the 57th Anniversary of the release of the original 101 Dalmatians movie, one of my favorites as a little girl!! In inspiration of this special day, I created this SUPER simple hair bows tutorial inspired by Pongo and Perdita. All you need to create these cute bows is polka dot or cow fabric in black and white, a hot glue gun, scissors, red and blue rhinestones, and silver hair clips.
-- En Español -- Hola chicos!! Este Jueves pasado marcó el aniversario #57 del estreno de la película original de 101 Dálmatas, una de mis pelis favoritas de niña!! Inspirada en ese día tan especial, les hice este tutorial super sencillo de lacitos de cabello inspirados en Pongo y Perdita. Lo único que necesitas para crear estos lazos es tela en blanco con negro (de lunares o de vacas funciona super!), una pistola de goma caliente, tijeras, brillantes en rojo y azul, y clips de cabello.
To create these bows, you need to follow these easy steps:
1. Cut a rectangle of fabric of 9" x 10.5" as well as another rectangle of 2" x 10.5"
2. Fold the larger rectangle in half and secure with glue
3. Fold in half again on the opposite side and secure with glue
4. Pinch the fabric in the center to create a bow shape (as in the above picture) and secure with glue
5. Use the smaller rectangle of fabric to tie around the center of the bow and cover the glue
6. Use red and blue rhinestones to decorate the bows for Perdita and Pongo
7. Glue the hair clips to the back of the bows
All done!!
Para crear estos lazos, solo necesitas seguir estos pasos sencillos:
1. Corta en tela un rectángulo de 9" x 10.5" y otro rectángulo de 2" x 10.5"
2. Dobla el rectángulo más grande a la mitad y sujeta con goma
3. Dobla el rectángulo de nuevo al lado opuesto y sujeta con goma
4. Pellizca el rectángulo a la mitad para crear la forma de lazo y sujétalo con goma
5. Utiliza el rectángulo de tela más pequeña para amarrar el centro del lazo y ocultar la goma
6. Utiliza brillantes azules y rojos para decorar los lazos de Perdita y Pongo
7. Pega los clips de cabello en la parte de atrás del lazo
Y listo!!
