{DIY}: Harry Potter Monster Book Tutorial
Hi guys! In celebration of the new Harry Potter movie premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, I decided to put together a fun DIY project! And what better than to pair it with my DIY Hogwarts Blazer, am I right?!
I have always been a HUGE fan of Harry Potter, so I am beyoooond excited to see this movie sometime this week. But for today, I present to you a quick tutorial on how to create a Monster Book like the ones seen in the Harry Potter movies! This book box is perfect for holding your favorite knick knacks while decorating your space at the same time ;)
-- En Español -- Hola chicos!! En celebración del premier de la nueva película de la serie de Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, decidí armar este divertido proyecto hecho en casa! Y qué mejor que emparejarlo con mi DIY Blazer de Hogwarts, no les parece?!
Siempre he sido mega-fan de Harry Potter, así que no se imaginan lo emoooocionada que estoy por ver esta película esta semana. Pero por hoy, quiero compartir con ustedes este tutorial sencillo de cómo crear un Libro de Monstruo como la de las películas de Harry Potter! Esta caja en forma de libro es perfecto para guardar tus cositas favoritas y para decorar tu casa a la vez ;)
For this project, all you need is brown, red, and white felt, a book box, googly eyes, scissors, and a hot glue gun. Start by outlining your book box in brown felt and drawing various hair peaks around the edges. Cut this out and use the hot glue gun to attach it to your book box. Cut out a red tongue and two pairs of white teeth out of felt and attach them to the book with glue. Last but not least, glue 4 pairs of googly eyes to the top of your book.
And all done!
Para este proyecto, vas a necesitar fieltro chocolate, rojo, y blanco, una caja en forma de libro, ojitos, tijeras, y una pistola de goma. Empieza delineando el tamaño de tu libro en fieltro chocolate y luego dibuja picos de pelo a su alrededor. Usa las tijeras para cortarlo y luego usa la goma calienta para forrar el libro. Corta una lengua roja y 2 pares de dientes blancos en fieltro y pégalos al libro. Termina pegando cuatro ojitos a la parte de arriba del libro.
Y listo!
