Hi guys! Today I would like to show all of you this fun project I came up with for the Holidays!!! Below you will find a simple tutorial on how to make this adorable Christmas bow dress. This would be absolutely perfect for an Ugly Sweater Christmas party, don't you think? Except that this isn't ugly at all; in fact, I think it is super pretty! I almost feel like wearing this dress out on a regular day.... the key word there is almost ;)
Hola chicos! Hoy me gustaría mostrarles este proyecto divertido que se me ocurrió para estas fiestas!!! Abajo podrán encontrar un tutorial sencillo de cómo hacer este vestido de lazos para Navidad. No les parece una opción perfecta para los famosos "Ugly Sweater Parties"?! Sólo que este vestido en realidad no es "ugly" (feo); es más, a mí me parece adorable! Casi casi me lo quiero poner en un día normal para salir ;)
Clothing and Accessories:
To make this bow dress, all you need is a simple black dress, a LOT of big and small sized bows, and some fabric glue. I would recommend buying a dress that is formfitting on the top but that isn't too tight because the glue makes the dress less flexible (and thus harder to put on). I bought this black dress on sale at Forever 21 for under $15! You might recognize it as the same dress from my Gumball Machine costume (but in black).

Para hacer este vestido de lazos, todo lo que necesitas es un vestido sencillo negro, un montón de lazos grandes y pequeños, y pegamento para telas. Yo recomendaría comprar un vestido que sea ajustado al cuerpo en la parte de arriba, pero que tampoco sea demasiado apretado ya que el pegamento de tela hace que el vestido sea menos flexible (y por lo tanto más difícil de poner). Yo terminé comprando un vestido en descuento de Forever21 por menos de $15! Tal vez lo reconozcan como el mismo vestido que use para mi disfraz de Máquina de Chicles (excepto que este es negro).
To make the dress, just follow these 7 simple steps:
1. Lay the dress out on a table and place a piece of cardboard under the area you want to start working on. Then grab a bow and place plenty of fabric glue on the back of it.
2. Start adding big bows in various colors to the entire bottom part of your dress.
3. Continue until the bottom part of the dress is fully covered in bows.
4. Turn the dress around and repeat the entire process on the other side.
5. Next start gluing small sized bows on the top part of the dress.
6. Keep adding bows until the entire top is covered including the straps (if any).
7. Then turn the dress around and cover the other side with small bows as well.
All done!
Para hacer el vestido, sólo tienes que seguir estos 7 pasos sencillos:
1. Coloca el vestido sobre una mesa y coloca un trozo de cartón debajo de la zona donde deseas empezar a trabajar. Luego agarra un lazo y agrégale bastante pegamento de tela en la parte de atrás.
2. Empieza a pegar lazos alrededor de toda la parte de abajo del vestido.
3. Continua hasta que toda la parte de abajo del vestido este cubierto de lazos.
4. Luego voltea el vestido y repite el mismo proceso del otro lado.
5. Ahora empieza a pegar lazos pequeñitos en la parte superior del vestido.
6. Sigue pegando hasta que que cubras toda la parte superior del vestido con lazos (incluyendo las tiras del vestido si los hay)
7. Voltea el vestido y cubre todo el otro lado con lazos también.
Y con eso terminastes!
Bow headband:
I also decided to whip together this cute headband to add even more color to this Christmas look. To make it yourself, all you need to do is glue a couple of small bows to the top of a simple headband. I think it adds that perfect touch of color to my hair!
Bincha de Lazos:
También decidí hacer esta bincha de lazos para agregar aun más color a este look Navideño. Simplemente usa el pegamento de tela para agregar lazos de diversos colores a una bincha sencilla. Me encanta como la bincha le da ese toque de color a mi cabello!
