{Travel}: Exotic Racing in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Las Vegas

  Tuesday February 12, 2013

One of my boyfriend's biggest dreams was to one day travel to Las Vegas, rent amazing fast cars, and drive them on a circuit. So..... dream come true! We spent most of the second day of our trip to Las Vegas driving fast cars at a place called Exotic Racing, it was aaaaaaamazing ;)

I went with a very comfy outfit today so that I could focus on my driving. I felt that the red trenchcoat really added some style to a basic white top + jeans outfit.

Wondering what car I ended up driving??? (Should be pretty obvious by now, haha). Well I drove ..............

A LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO!!!

Las Vegas Las Vegas

The Lamborghini is an amazing car that has a V10 engine, with 550hp, and goes 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds. I had the opportunity to drive it on a racing circuit and test out its speed. Let me tell you, that baby is FAST!

I thought I would be freaked out about driving such a fast car, but I found the experience to be extremely exhilarating, thrilling, and downright fun. I wouldn't mind having a Lamborghini someday.... hahaha (keep dreaming).

My father and my boyfriend also drove amazing cars. Both of them drove the Lamborghini Aventador which is the fastest car out of all the ones offered at this company. The Aventador has a V12 engine, with 700hp, and goes 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds!! And just look at how those doors open!!! Amazing right?!

My dad and I even drove at the same time on the circuit! If you look at the bellow two photos, you can see my dad in the orange Aventador and me in the yellow Gallardo!

My boyfriend also decided to drive a Ferrari 458 (V8 engine, and 570hp) and a McLaren MP4-12C (V8 twin-turbo engine, with 600hp). Both amazing!

It was such a fun experience, I can't wait to try it again sometime! Oh, and I have videos of the whoooole thing, so stay tuned ;)

Las Vegas

After all the thrill from racing, we decided to relax and visit the famous pawn shop from the hit TV show Pawn Stars. Not only did we see the store, but we were also picked as extras for one of their episodes!!

So if you see a girl with a red trench coat in the background in one of the upcoming episodes, you now know that's me!

Las Vegas

We finished the night by watching a show called The Las Vegas Show which was also amazing! It was a wonderful second day of our trip, stay tuned to see what we did on our third and last day in Vegas!

Hahaha, Marie, when these pictures came up I was like, "She got... a Lamhborgini (I can't spell)..." but hey, riding in one is just as awesome as owning one, right? Dang! This is so cool. And all the pictures you took of these stunning cars are just perfect. Ever consider being a car photographer?

  12. Wow! These photos look amazing, Marie, seems like an amazing thing to do if you love cars as much as your boyfriend does, from what I've read on your blog! A real Lamborghini, WOW! I would never dare to drive in one, I'd be too scared I would hit something or scratch it one way or another, hahaha :p

My boyfriend likes to watch Pawn Stars every week, so I'll definitely look out for you! What was the store like? Did you see any cool items?

  18. I think that everything posted was actually very reasonable.
However, what about this? suppose you were to create a awesome headline?
I ain't saying your content isn't solid, however suppose you added a
title to maybe get folk's attention? I mean "Travel: Exotic Racing in Las Vegas" is kinda boring. You could peek at Yahoo's front
page and see how they create news titles to grab people to click.
You might add a related video or a pic or two to get readers interested about what you've got to say. In my opinion, it might make your blog a little bit more interesting.

  19.  Thanks Jody!! Yeah, for a car fanatic like my boyfriend this was a whole dream come true. I was scared at first that I would ruin the Lamborghini, but after a while its just fun!

The pawn shop was actually much smaller than I thought it would be. It wasn't spectacular per se, but it was fun to see the items that I saw on the show on display :)
