Today my brother Tom hosted a casual dinner party at his apartment to spend some quality family time. After having our delicious meal, my grandmother surprised us all by giving each of us a late Christmas present.

She handed me the most adorable letter I've ever received. It had many cute doodles and sweet words, I almost got teary eyed reading it. It was definitely one of the sweetest things I've ever seen :)

  2. Oh gosh, letters like that are just the most precious thing. You can really tell that someone put their soul into that with all the doodles and writing and such. You look lovely, Marie! Flowers always look AMAZING on you. And I love that blue ring!

  3. Hand written letters are the best. I think you can read their emotions better with their writing rather than a text or typed letter.
I always enjoy getting hand written letters too from my grandma. She will write about the most random things, but some reason it always makes me happy. :)

  4. That's so sweet.  I hardly ever keep cards, but I find myself keeping the ones from my grandma because she usually includes cute/thoughtful/sweet notes and doodles as well.  They mean so much more when they are personalized like that.

Every year for Christmas, my husband's father gives all three of his children a hand written letter- it will just be pages and pages long. I love the thoughtfulness of gifts like that.

  14.  Aaaww, I'm glad we have that in common Annabelle. I don't keep that many cards either because there are just too many, but the ones from my grandma in particular are usually to special to not keep :)

  21.  Hahahahha you aren't nosy at all Teresa!!! In fact, if you could read it you would probably laugh and smile at all the sweet and goofy things she wrote. She made reference to me as "the girl with the pretty shoes" or something like that. She is so innocent and cute! Thanks so much for being so sweet :)
