Brown top: H&M
Patterned skirt: Christmas present from my parents
Caramel belt: Forever XXI
Red Jessica Simpson flats: Estampa (Panama)
Red Xoxo purse: Macy's
Candy Jar necklace: From this seller on Etsy

Worked on updating my blog and cleaned my room.

For some unknown reason, I try to always tie my hair up when I wear a brown top. Something about having my brown hair down over my brown top just seems wrong for some reason. I'm weird, I know.

But today I decided to defy that "rule" of mine by wearing my hair down. I think it looks pretty good! I don't know why I didn't like it in the first place. Goes to show that sometimes we set ourselves some illogical "rules" on how to dress or style ourselves.

Do you have any illogical "rules" when it comes to dressing or styling yourself?

Here are all the ways in which I've worn this patterned skirt:

  1. Lovely outfit! I wouldn't call your hair brown at all. I would call you a redhead (and you have beautiful hair, by the way). No problem with clashing when you wear brown - it works well.

  2. I love it when you wear bold prints :D Your bottle necklace is really cute too! I'd have to agree with the poster above though - your hair does look more red than brown. Did you dye it in the past? :)

P.S. You've been awarded the Stylish Blogger award! :D

  3. I also have dark brown hair and I notice some shades of brown blend too much and others don't. I think it can make it look great if done right! Cute look by the way. Love the skirt, very colorful! :)

  4. Loving it. Your hair is cute and I love the natural waves. Your hair color is gorgeous I see reddish streaks in them, is it your real hair color?

  5. I think this brown top totally works, it's a totally different shade than your hair :)
