Today is my brother's birthday!!! Oh how I wish I was home to celebrate with my entire family! As I have explained before, I am doing a Birthday challenge for each of my family members in which I make an outfit inspired by them and make them a big card. Yippie!
Tom has a great way of wearing simple items that everyone has in their closets but making them look special by adding little details like funky belts and patterned shoes. That inspired me to use basic items, such as a classic pair of jeans and a plain striped tee, and making them special by adding cool details, like the belt and the necklace.
In terms of the card, my brother Tom is an excellent cook! He cooks the most delicious meals! So I was inspired to try to make a card in the shape of a chef's hat... notice the emphasis on triieedd to make. I know it doesn't look like it at all, but the thought is what counts right? riiight?!
Tom is truly a wonderful brother. He is honestly one of the nicest, sweetest, and most thoughtful people I know. It's amazing how we used to fight like cats and dogs when we were little, but now our relationship has grown very strong.
