2.5 year anniversary
When: Tuesday August 3, 2010
What:
1st outfit:
Patterned dress: Saks (Panama)
Jean jacket: Saks (Panama)
Beige wedges: Stevens (Panama)
Green purse: Borrowed from my mom
2nd outfit:
Patterned dress: Saks (Panama)
Green shawl: Borrowed from my mom
Gold purse: Borrowed from my mom
Brown Nine West shoes: Nine West Outlet
Where: Celebrated my two and a half year anniversary with my boyfriend!
Comments:
Today my boyfriend and I decided to celebrate our 2 year and a half anniversary together by going out to dinner. I knew from the start that I wanted to wear this patterned dress I got last time I was in Panama, but it was too fancy for daytime. So to make it a little more casual, I added the jean jacket, big bright purse, and cute beige wedges.
Once it was time to go out for dinner, I made the outfit more elegant by wearing a shawl, fancy peep toe shoes, and shiny jewelry... I love it when it's so easy to dress an item up or down, don't you :)

What are your tricks for dressing something up and/or down?

That jean jacket is perfection! I have to find one like it. The only denim jacket I have is long-sleeved (awful for summer!) and it's a very stiff denim, so it's not very comfortable either.
ReplyDeleteI adore the peep-toes you wore at night! Those are gorgeous!
Outfits that can be dressed up or down are great. One of my tricks is to throw on a blazer, or to switch out jeans for a pencil skirt at night.
What a great job you did with this outfit, I love both ways, with the denim jacket and that shawl is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely meal?

I get a rush of so many things to say when I see your pics but dont want to make these long. The green pop purse was perfect to bring out the green. Your green goldbug earings were a hidden treat. Then how everything changed dramatically when you changed from the casual jacket to the shawl and look so elegant and with your purse. jgm
