Comments:
Once I get to that time of the semester where I have to do all my final presentations, I always have problems finding what to wear. I know I am supposed to dress business appropriate, but I also want to wear something that is true to my fashionable side. So today I put some extra thought into it and I really like what I came up with! I just thought: "there is no reason why dressing business appropriate means dressing blaaaaa". So I came up with this outfit that is both professional (because of the blazer and neutral colors) and fashionable too (because of the plaid shoes and colorful purse). Yai for finding a solution!

How do you make outfits that are business appropriate?

Here are all the ways in which I've worn this beige skirt:

  1. you really are absolutely incredible how you invent these styles and new attitude. I couldnt agree with you more. The outfit is simply outstanding as it accomplishes both business and alive. You make it so easy to match the colors ... the red lipstick, earings, purse and shoes. the dark brown jacket, belt and even shoe straps. you are a delight to see. Your outfit is appropriate for business, doesnt mean blaaa, but does create awe! jgm

  4. I often pair a blazer with a more causal dress or skirt to go to the office, but I'm fortunate to be in an office where the dress code is very lax, so I can get away with a lot...

I do love that you mixed lots of color and patterns into your neutrals to step outside of that "strictly business" uniform.

  6. All those red accents from your bright red lipstick, earrings, and purse gives this neutral color outfit just the right touch of color. I agree it looks great on you. To think I wasnt going to let you buy those shoes. Now I love them with all the outfits you have made using them!!! Well I guess this is one time I was wrong on the fashion advice. LOL
