The french twist
When: Tuesday April 13, 2010
What:
Striped turtleneck: ? (Panama)
Red skirt: Forever XXI
Brown tights: Target
Beige boots: El Costo (Panama)
Brown purse: NYC
Where: Walked around in the rain... I just love the rain for some reason! Oh! And I also watched Glee! Does anyone else watch this?
Comments:
Today was a rainy and grey day, so the photos aren't everything one would hope for (sorry about that!), but that didn't stop me from skipping around in the light rain! I love the rain! Anyway, today I was going for a oh la la french look. I love the way french woman always dress simple and yet look so chic! So I tried to keep it simple today... I like it :)
To finish off the french look, I tried to do a french twist for the first time! I looked up on youtube how do to a french twist and then gave it a try! It's not perfect, but I think it's pretty good considering its my first time. I always enjoy trying out new things :) Have any of you ever done a french twist?

Ahhh, the first time you did a french twist? I've tried and tried to do it. No success, at least not that I would wear outside the house, LOL! In junior high I french braided my hair every night for a year before I felt like I could wear it out. Maybe I ought to try that now, eh? I like the striped shirt, with the varied width stripes. Yup, very chic!
ReplyDeleteYou really did amazing for your first time!! I've tried it but it is too hard for someone so beauty-and-hair-product-challenged like myself :) I really love the top, how the stripes change sizes. The whole outfit is just adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThat red skirt pops!

I looooove your look today. That striped sweater is so fashion chic and you are right it does resemble the french look a lot.. all you were missing was the burrette! jejejeje.. but you did an amazing job on your french twist.
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at trying out new ways of wearing your hair. I always just wear it down, and barely style it. I need to improve that ASAP!
You took my words before I could say them..oh la la. You look chic and french, like a french chic. If you can do the triple wing in ballet I am not surprised you can do the French Twist. Many heads with twist and turn as you walk by. jgm
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it!
