Comments:
For today's Disney Challenge, I chose one of my all time childhood favorites: Mary Poppins! When I was small, I used to watch this movie over, and over, and over again. I loved it! Today I was particularly inspired by the outfit she wore up on the roof singing chim chim cheree!
March 4 - Mary Poppins
The way I did it was adding the red trench to resemble her red long suit dress and then I added patterned black tights instead of all black tights just to give it a more modern edge. I of course couldn't forget about the most important details of Mary Poppins: her black hat with flowers and her umbrella!
March 4 - Mary Poppins 3
In order to copy the flower hat look, I just pinned a white floral hair accessory to my cute black hat. I really like how it turned out, I will definitely have to try adding pins to my hats more often!

Here are all the ways in which I've worn these patterned tights:

  6. Marie, I just checked into your blog to see what was up, then I instantly fell in love with your series!! If you couldn't tell by the exclamation points, I'm a huge Disney fan at heart, and I love the idea behind your outfits and the Mary Poppin one is especially chic! I really do like how you gave it a modern edge with the tights, too.

I think I may include some of your pictures in a future Disney-inspired post-- please tell me if that's ok or not!
