Today I am wearing my go-to outfit. In other words, this is the type of outfit I wear when I press the snooze button to many times in the morning (that happens way to often to me, how about all of you?). I love this type of outfit because its easy peasy and takes no time at all to come up with, believe it or not... don't worry, I'll let you in on the secret!

I have come up with a "formula" on how to make a fast and pretty outfit. It begins with a neutral colored dress (white, black, grey), then you add a simple but colorful cardigan or jacket (in this case burgundy), and then you just add brown accessories (or black if you prefer) to everything else (shoes, tights, jewelry). If you wanted to go a little further, you could add a different colored purse for a pop of color and added interest, but that's optional. Here is a visual presentation:

So there you have it, my formula to make a go-to outfit! It's as easy as pie! Talking about pie, the colors in my outfit remind me of a delicious cherry pie... mmmm I'm getting hungry just by thinking about it!
So do you have a go-to outfit? I would love to read your tips on getting ready on the go!

Here are all the ways in which I've worn this burgundy cardi:

  4. Go-to outfits are what I'm all about! I press the snooze button waaaayyy too often...jajaja.. I didn't know this formula though, thanks for the tip! I usually do it the other way around: a colorful dress and a jacket that matches it, then accesories in another color to pull it all together. But I learned that from you!
