{Travel}: Geeking out at Sega in Tokyo, Japan

Fun and Games in Sega, Tokyo Japan

Hey guys!! Next up on our Japan trip series is our first full day in Tokyo after our amazing time exploring different areas of Kyoto.

It was incredibly interesting to walk around the streets of Tokyo and taking in how different it is from anywhere else I've ever visited. If I had to compare, I guess it would be similar to Manhattan in terms of the amount of people and bright colorful signs everywhere, but with very particular distinctions. For one, it was super quite considering how busy it was! Also, wherever you looked, there was some sort of geeky or fun detail like a big Godzilla peeking over a building, a Spiderman crawling up the side of a shop, big robot statues that light up, Hello Kitty stores galore, and of course, lots and lots of Anime details!

There were so many things we wanted to see all at once that I felt almost overwhelmed with excitement. So, for our first day, we decided to take it easy and do some light city exploring while we enjoyed some delicious "Onigiri" (anyone who has seen Anime knows what I'm talking about. But if not, they are basically rice triangles with fish fillings. Delish!). We even got to explore a Sega spot that had tons of little game machines, most of which gave super Japanese like prizes like Pokemon plushies, Hello Kitty toys, and Dragon Ball collectibles.

Can't wait to share more of Tokyo with you guys, stay tuned!! But in the meantime, leave a comment if you are a fan (like me!) of popular Japanese things like anime, hello kitty, or even Godzilla ;) hehe.
