Ok guys, the day is FINALLY here when I show all of you photos of my dream apartment makeover!! As you all know, I worked really hard each and every day for the last 6 months in order to decorate the 1st apartment I've ever purchased. I'm going to divide this grand reveal into two parts so I don't overwhelm you with photos. Today I'll be showing you my new living room, my new dining room, and my new kitchen makeover!
Lets start with my living room and dinning room shall we?! Check out these amazing before and after photos!!:
-- En Español -- Ok chicos, finaaaaaalmente ha llegado el día en que les muestro fotos de mi apartamento después de decorarlo!!! Como todos ustedes ya saben, he trabajado requete duro los últimos 6 meses tratando de amueblar y decorar el apartamento entero para convertirlo en el espacio de mis sueños. Voy a dividir las fotos en dos posts para no abrumarlos con tantas cosas a la vez. Hoy les estaré mostrando algunas fotos del makeover de mi sala, comedor, y cocina!!
Para empezar, aquí les mostraré mi sala y mi comedor. Échenle un vistazo del Antes y Después y seguro se sorprenderán!:
I mean, can we talk about this flower wall and how awesome it looks?! I painted this wall myself inspired by a Lilly Pulitzer print I saw on the internet (believe me, it took a LONG time, but the results were worth it!). I decided to keep the furniture simple in all-white so that all the focus would be on the floral mural. I absolutely LOVE the end result, it feels like I'm living in a colorful Wonderland of my own ;)
Podemos tomar un momento para hablar sobre lo genial que quedó esta pared de flores?! Este mural lo pinté yo misma inspirada en un estampado de Lilly Pulitzer que vi en Pinterest (me tomó mucho tiempo, pero me encanta como se ve!). Decidí mantener los muebles bastantes sencillos en blanco para que el mural de flores sea el centro de la atención. Me encaaaaaanta el resultado final, es como vivir en mi propio País de las Maravillas!
The kitchen was one of my least favorite parts of my apartment when I first purchased it. The cabinets used to be this cheap looking faux dark wood with some big bulky silver handles... yuck. All the dark colors of the furniture made the narrow kitchen look even more narrow. Wondering how it looks after I worked my magic?! Check out this before and after:
Cuando compré el apartamento, la cocina sin duda alguna era uno de los cuartos que menos me gustaba porque los armarios estaban hechos de un material barato que trataba de imitar el aspecto de madera. Estos cajones oscuros hacían que la cocina que ya era pequeña se viera aun más pequeña. Se preguntan cómo quedó al final??? Pues échenle un vistazo a este Antes y Después:
I decided I wanted the entire kitchen to be as white as possible so that the room would look wider and easier on the eyes. To accomplish this, I hired someone to paint my cabinets white as well as adding some french glass cabinet doors in one part.
Next I worked on painting (that's right, painting!) the kitchen countertop myself so that it would have this white marble effect. Last but not least, I added cute little candyland details in pink and blue throughout the kitchen to add a girly touch. LOVE how this room totally was transformed!
Decidí que quería una cocina todo en blanco para que se viera más amplio y fresco. Para lograrlo, contraté a unos señores que me pintaron todos los armarios de blanco como también me hicieron unas puertas francesas de vidrio.
Luego decidí pintar (así es, PINTAR!) yo misma el sobre de la cocina para que tuviera este efecto de mármol blanco. Por último, pero no menos importante, añadí varios adornos en azul y rosado inspirados en Candyland para darle un toque femenino al cuarto. Estoy fascinada de cómo se transformó por completo la cocina!
