{Travel}: City Touring Medellín, Colombia

Hi guys!! Those of you who follow me on Instagram (@mariemcgrathpty) probably already know that two weeks ago I traveled to Medellín, Colombia with my friends!!! The last time I left the country was on our family Disney trip in 2013 (crazy right?!), so you couldn't even imagine how excited I was to finally go on a new adventure... and with my friends too!
-- En Español -- Hola chicos!! Todos los que me siguen en Instagram (@mariemcgrathpty), probablemente ya saben que viajé con mis amigos a Medellín, Colombia hace dos semanas atrás!! La última vez que salí del país fue en nuestro viaje familiar a Disney en el 2013 (qué locura no?!), así que se imaginarán lo emocionada que estaba por irme en una adventura nueva... y con mis amigos para acabar!
Our first day in Medellín, we took a city tour bus to visit famous spots throughout the city. We started off at the Botero Plaza where you could see several of this famous artist's voluptuous statues (my fav was the kitty of course!). Then we headed to the science center Explora and the Planetarium (where I admit we ended up taking a nap in the middle of the presentation, oops!). Next we had lunch at the beautiful Botanical gardens (aaaand I ordered 2 desserts for myself, #SorryNotSorry).
Nuestro primer día en Medellín lo disfrutamos tomando un City Tour en bus visitando diferentes lugares históricos de la ciudad. Empezamos con la Plaza de Botero donde pudimos disfrutar de varias esculturas del famoso artista Colombiano (mi favorita fue la de gatito, por supuesto!). Luego nos dirigimos al centro de ciencia Explora y al planetario (donde admito que nos quedamos dormidos durante la presentación, oops!). Próximo decidimos descansar un poco para almorzar en los hermosos jardines botánicos (yyyyy me comí dos postres completos yo sola, #NoMeArrepiento).
Last but not least, we traveled on the Metro Cable carts for a fantastic view of the city. I had never been on a cableway cart before, so this was super exciting for me!! All in all an absolute fantastic day in Medellín!
Para terminar el día, decidimos tomar el Metro Cable para disfrutar de una vista espectacular de la ciudad. Yo nunca he viajado en telesferico, así que esto me emocionó muchísimo!! Fue un día mega divertido en Medellín!
