Hi guys! Here is the first of several homemade Halloween costume ideas I will be presenting in the next two weeks. First up: an easy Do It Yourself Mary Poppins costume! I am super excited about this costume because Mary Poppins was my all time favorite movie when I was a child. Plus, I am a huge Disney fan! As if that isn't enough, this costume was super easy to make, so win win win ;)
En Español - Hola a todos! Aquí les dejo con la primera de varias ideas de disfraces para Halloween que estaré presentando en las próximas dos semanas. Para empezar, porqué no intentan hacer este lindo disfraz de Mary Poppins? Me emociona muchísimo este disfraz porque Mary Poppins era mi película favorita cuando era niña. Además, ustedes ya saben que soy mega fan de todo lo que es Disney! Y como si eso no fuera suficiente, este disfraz fue super fácil de hacer, así que por donde lo vean este disfraz es lo máximo ;)
One of the things I like the most from this costume is that I made it using pieces from my own closet. So this would definitely make an awesome last minute costume! You will need:
- A white collar shirt
- A black A-line Skirt
- Black Tights + Black heels
- A big purse (bonus if it has a floral print!)
- Black Hat + fake (or real!) flowers
- A red bow tie (I bought mine at Burbujas)
- A Black umbrella (mine is blue, but whatevers)
Una de las cosas que más me gusta de este disfraz es que está compuesto de cosas que ya tenía en mi closet. Así que este disfraz definitivamente sería muy bueno así a último momento. Vas a necesitar:
- Camisa blanca de botones
- Falda Negra
- Medias negras + Tacones negros
- Una cartera grande (mejor si tiene estampado floral!)
- Sombrero negro + flores artificiales (o reales!)
- Gatito rojo (Compré el mío en Burbujas)
- Paraguas Negro (el mío es azul, pero ni modo)

Clothing and Accessories:
For this costume, all you need to wear is a white collar shirt with your favorite black skirt, a red bow tie, and a pair of black tights. In order to really look like Ms. Poppins, grab a black hat and add either real or artificial flowers to one side. Also, don't forget your umbrella!
Ropa y Accesorios:
Para este disfraz, solamente necesitas usar una camisa blanca de botones con tu falda negra favorita, un gatito rojo, y unas medias negras. Para parecerte de verdad a Mary Poppins, agrégale a tu sombrero negro unas flores artificiales o reales. Y no olvides también usar un paraguas!

Makeup:
I kept the makeup for this costume pretty simple. Go for a natural makeup with a pop of red lipstick!
Maquillaje:
En esta ocasión mantuve mi maquillaje bastante sencillo. Trata de hacerte un look medio natural pero con un toque de rojo en los labios!

And with that you are done and ready to sing: "Just a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down!"... hahaha. Hope you all enjoyed this easy homemade Halloween costume :)
Y con esto ya terminastes el disfraz y estas listo para cantar: "Con un poco de azúcar..." jajaja. Espero que hayan disfrutado de este disfraz de Halloween sencillo hecho en casa :)
