{Outfit}: Girly in florals and pink
I wore this cutesy pink outfit to walk around a book fair with my sister. We had a lovely time looking through all types of books, from Disney books to kitty cat books!
En Español- Hoy me puse este outfit rosado muy girly para ir a ver la Feria del Libro en Atlapa con mi hermana. La pasamos super chevere explorando todo tipo de libros, desde libros de Disney hasta libros de gatitos!
{Dress/Vestido: Zara ; Heels/Zapatos: Via Vai (Panama) ; Hat/Sombrero: Forever21.com ; Necklace/Collar: Used to be my mom's ; Clutch: Asos.com ; Sunglasses/Lentes de sol: Forever21.com}
We finished off the afternoon by treating ourselves to some delicious coconut ice cream! It was the perfect treat to beat the heat ;)
Terminamos la tarde dándonos un gusto comiendo un delicioso helado de coco! Fue la solución perfecta para combatir el calor de la tarde ;)

looks like a fun afternoon! looking good as always!
ReplyDeleteHi Marie. When i see your posts, i also think of dressing up as if everyday is special. But sometimes i wonder if you feel overdressed ? For example, it would be very wierd for me to wear heels and a dress to a book fair when everyone else is dressed down. Do you feel like that or does it make you feel special that you are dressed up compared to all others.
ReplyDeleteOhmygoodness, I will so have to get some Disney books in Spanish for when I start teaching!
ReplyDeleteAlso, love the outfit. That dress is beautiful! I like that you went matchy matchy with the shoes. Very pretty.
This year i've been solo busy I missed the book fair :(
ReplyDeletei adore your hat.
Thanks Lorena!! I'm so sorry to hear you didn't make it to this year's book fair. I usually don't go, but my sister wanted to go. I'm so happy I did!
ReplyDeleteThank you JB!!! Oh yessss, I looooved these Disney books, I almost bought them!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Julie!!! I'm so glad to hear my blog posts perhaps inspire you to dress up on a daily basis. This outfit in a dress in heels is actually what I wore to work, my sister asked me at the last minute to go with her to the book fair. If I would have known before hand that i was going to a book fair, I probably would have dressed down a bit.
ReplyDeleteBut, to be honest, I am usually overdressed most of the time no matter where I go. But truthfully, it doesn't bother me at all to be overdressed. In fact, I really enjoy it!!! I like wearing my favorite pieces and playing dress up everyday. If that is what makes you happy (which in my case it is), then that is all that matters. If dressing up everyday is going to make you feel more special on a daily basis, you should totally do it!!
Plus, you can still dress nice while being appropriate. I could have easily worn this pretty floral dress with flats to go to the book fair and it would have looked just as nice while being comfortable to walk around. It is all about dressing up but still remaining practical. Feel free to write me an email at thejoyoffashion (at) hotmail (dot) com if you would like to talk more!
Thank you very much Mark!!! I appreciate that!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so so much!!! I am a huge hat fan as well, they add the perfect touch to any outfit!!
