{Travel}: The breathtaking Machu Picchu, Perú
Here it is you guys, the main attraction of our trip to Perú: Machu Picchu!!! In order to get to Machu Picchu, we first took a bus from Cusco and then took a train.
I know it sounds random, but I really enjoyed the train ride. There was something so magical about sipping coffee while admiring the beautiful mountains all around us. Nature is just amazing sometimes you know?

The train left us off in a small town called Aguas Calientes which is right below Machu Picchu. Then we took a 30 minute bus ride up the mountain until we finally reached the ruins of Machu Picchu.
Guys, let me tell you, Machu Picchu was just breathtaking. I was just at awe when I saw it, I couldn't believe I was actually there.
We had a tour guide walk us around all of the ruins explaining the different areas of the town and what they were used for. Even as time went by, I just couldn't believe I was actually in Machu Picchu seeing things I only saw in photos and movies.

Everywhere you looked, the view was just so beautiful. I felt like I had stepped straight into a postcard. It was such a dream come true to see something so beautiful.

After enjoying Machu Picchu for a couple of hours, we took the bus back down to the small town of Aguas Calientes and spent the night at a charming little hotel.

It was such an amazing day!! I would definitely recommend Machu Picchu to whoever wants to see something truly magical and breathtaking.
Stay tuned for more photos of our trip to Perú! Next up are photos of the cute market in Aguas Calientes :)

I've been fascinated with Machu Picchu since I did a report on it I think in 5th grade? My sister actually went backpacking in Peru last year and got to see it, but it's definitely on my bucket list! How fun that you got to take a trip with your older brother!
