{Outfit}: Do you love the shorts trend for Summer 2013 ?
I have seen people wear shorts all of my life, but I never thought about giving them a chance until this year. The main reason I have always had my doubts about shorts is because I am heavier on my lower half and I always believed that shorts would just accentuate that... I couldn't be more wrong!

I am absolutely in love with the shorts trend that is in full rage for this Spring and Summer 2013! I truly believe that girls of all shapes and sizes can wear shorts if you know how to pick the shape, fabric, and colors correctly. In fact, I am thinking about writing a post about how to pick shorts for women with pear shaped bodies like mine! So stay tuned for that in case you are interested.
Do you wear shorts? Why yes or why not?

I love shorts! I have troubles with shorts too since I am heavier on the bottom too. I adore those shorts on you- the peplum top helps create a hourglass figure. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the shorts from Express- the trouser type shorts. I find those usually fit and look best.
The shorts are amazing! Love the colors!

The prints on the shorts are lush and it goes great with the blye peplum top. I'm not much a big fan of shorts but I haven't ruled them out of my wardrobe yet. When It gets really hot then I turn to them.

I love shorts but I haven't had any luck finding ones that fit me properly. Those look great on you love how you styled them.
ReplyDeletei love the shorts trend and i love these vibrant colors on you!!!
ReplyDeleteI do love the shorts trend - the more fun the pattern, the better!
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely fabulous in this outfit, Marie! You're definitely rocking the shorts, I think they look great on you! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are rocking those shorts!
ReplyDeleteI don't wear shorts often mostly because the ones i find are toooo short.
Thanks Lorena! I had the same problem as well, I found that most shorts were too short. But since I usually have to buy a large when it comes to shorts (because of my larger hips and derrier), they seem to be a little longer!
ReplyDeleteAaaaww thanks Jody!!! That means a lot to me, especially since I NEVER thought I could pull off shorts because of my larger thighs and all that. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! The more fun pattern the better!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Glad to hear you like the trend as well!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosely!!! I have issues with fit as well because I have large thighs and behind, but I have a smaller waist. In my case, what I do is that I buy a large (to fit my thighs and behind) and then have them taken in on the waist with a tailor. Tailoring is always a good alternative to get great fitted clothes!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ivyanna! When I saw these shorts online, I immediately thought of this peplum top in my closet. They were definitely meant to be together! I wasn't a big fan of shorts either, but I'm glad you haven't ruled them out completely. I agree that they are a great alternative for when it gets really hot.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mica!! I wasn't sure if shorts would go good with a peplum top, but I actually really like the idea now!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Glad to hear you enjoy a good pair of shorts as well for summer!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rhea! This is one of my go-to hairstyles for when I want something easy that looks nice.
ReplyDeleteThank you Zoe!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heidi!! You should try wearing a peplum top as well when it comes to shorts, it does seem to help to disguise the larger bottom!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it!
