Here are some photos of our second vacation day at Volcan in the Chiriqui Provence of Panama! Today we decided to go on a little hiking adventure that had a pretty waterfall in the end.
It was so peaceful and relaxing to walk through the woods with absolutely nobody around you (except my brother and sister of course!). You could easily hear the sound of the wind in the trees as well as little birds singing close by.
After an hour or two walking, we finally reached the waterfall at the end of the path. It was soooo beautiful!
Of course we decided to take a little dip in the waterfall; but let me tell you, it was FREEZING. My body was almost numb at how cold the water was, but it was still loads of fun!
The walk back through the woods was even more relaxing after swimming in the waterfall!
On the drive back to the cabin, we saw so many beautiful places. Of course, I once again stuck my head out of my sisters' car sunroof to take better pictures.
We finished off the night by drinking some hot tea and preparing some delicious smores. The perfect ending to an adventurous day ;)
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Ooooh lookit how big those leaves are! They're bigger than your HEAD! That's pretty awesome, hahahaha. And the waterfall is so beautiful. I bet it's awesome to be able to swim in them knowing the water is fresh and flowing and not all murky!

These posts make me miss Panama so much! We spent most of our trip in the Chiriqui province, and it was so lush and beautiful. We came across a waterfall, too, but weren't brave enough to jump in (too cold for us)!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful hike, Marie! And even though the water was freezing, it looks so refreshing!
