Vacation Part 2: Relaxing mountainside
Here is a quick look at the second part of my family vacation. After going to the beach, we drove to Boquete, a cool and breezy mountain area in Panama.
There is nothing more relaxing than being in the cool mountainside and staying in a hotel right next to a flowing river. It was the ultimate relaxing vacation. I spent most of my time on the porch, reading magazines, and making plans for 2012.
We also spent a lot of time walking around the peaceful town taking in all the gorgeous scenery around us.

Since the weather is breezy and cool up the mountainside, it is wonderful to stop and enjoy a warm cup of coffee or in my case, a hot coco!

One of the funniest jokes of the vacation was Gorilon and all of his activities. My family would discretely disguise and move Gorilon around the apartment so that I could find him and laugh my head off.
They had him eating a "healthy" snack....

Then eating and drinking something less healthy....

They also displayed him leaving the apartment on an adventure...

...and disguised as a killer!

It was hilarious to find Gorillon somewhere different every time.

It really was a wonderful relaxing vacation all together as a family. And of course, Gorilon was included because he is now part of the family as well :)

Panama looks so beautiful and relaxing. We had been considering going for a year or two and now I'm really convinced. My BF and I had always wanted to see the canal but then we kind of forgot about Panama. It came to my attention again because of your blog!

Good morning how are you?
ReplyDeleteMy name is Emilio, I am a Spanish boy and I live in a town near to Madrid. I am a very
interested person in knowing things so different as the culture, the way of
life of the inhabitants of our planet, the fauna, the flora, and the landscapes
of all the countries of the world etc. in summary, I am a person that enjoys
traveling, learning and respecting people's diversity from all over the world.
I
would love to travel and meet in person all the aspects above mentioned, but
unfortunately as this is very expensive and my purchasing power is quite small,
so I devised a way to travel with the imagination in every corner of our planet. A few years ago I started a
collection of letters addressed to me in which my goal was to get at least 1
letter from each country in the world. This modest goal is feasible to reach in
the most part of countries, but unfortunately it’s impossible to achieve in
other various territories for several reasons, either because they are
countries at war, either because they are countries with extreme poverty or
because for whatever reason the postal system is not functioning properly.
For all this I would ask you one small favour:
Would you be so kind as to send me a
letter by traditional mail from Panama? I understand perfectly that you think that your blog
is not the appropriate place to ask this, and even, is very probably that you
ignore my letter, but I would call your attention to the difficulty involved in
getting a letter from that country, and also I don’t know anyone neither where to write in Panama in order to increase
my collection. a letter for me is like a little
souvenir, like if I have had visited that territory with my imagination and at
same time, the arrival of the letters
from a country is a sign of peace and normality and a original way to promote a
country in the world. My postal address is the following one:
Emilio Fernandez Esteban
Calle Valencia, 39 Bajo C
28903 Getafe (Madrid)
Spain
If you wish, you
can visit my blog www.cartasenmibuzon.blogspot.com, where you can see the pictures of all the letters that I have received
from whole World.
Finally I would like to thank the attention given
to this letter, and whether you can help me or not, I send my best wishes for
peace, health and happiness for you, your family and all your dear beings.
Yours Sincerely
It looks like y'all had a wonderful vacation! I love all the photos with Gorilon. Your family sounds like they are really fun people!
ReplyDeleteHahahaah oh my gosh! That gorilla is just too funny. I love that he got moved around and wore so many different outfits and did so many different things. The killer gorilla made me laugh at my screen. Sounds like you had a great vacation, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteHello Emilio!!I'm soooo sorry I took so long in answering your comment! I've been so
ReplyDeletebusy and didn't have a chance to get back to you regarding the letter
from Panama. I just wanted to let you know that I love what you are
doing and I'm sending you a letter tomorrow! I hope it gets to you. Keep
up the great work!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it!
