Comments:
Let me start off by saying that I used to not really like cars. It's not that I hated them, I just saw them as a means to get from point A to B. Now that I have been dating a car fanatic for 4 years (and have a brother and father who can't stop talking about cars), I have grown to appreciate and even like some cars (not a fanatic yet though!).

That said, I have been thinking about switching cars for a while now. I drive a 2003 blue Toyota Rav 4 and let me just say I LOVE IT. I have loved that car ever since the first time I saw it, and I was soooo lucky to receive it as a graduation present. It drives so smoothly and its so comfortable.

Anyway, even though I love it, the car is getting kind of older now so it's time for a change. I have considered three different cars to switch to (won't say which ones they are just yet!) and I went to see all three of them tonight. It was so exciting to look at each one and try to picture myself in it. I think I have made a decision, but I'm not 100% sure since they are all very nice.

Once I finally decide and buy a car, I will definitely take some pictures and share it with all of you just in case there are any car-fanatic readers out there... hehe... Wish me luck on making a decision!

Here are all the ways in which I've worn this dress:

I just hope you are not going for the Beetle. I had one until recently and it was a dream -turn to nightmare situation, it was the cutest and worst car ever.

  3. 2003 is old? Oh dear! My car is 1999 and my husband's is 1997! Practically vintage!  So how did wearing a dress when test driving cars go? I'm always afraid when we look for our next new car, the whole: "oh, she's a girl, she knows nothing about cars" will be a factor. My father-in-law owned a automotive repair shop, so I might bring him along for some backbone!

  4. I need to buy a car, only I have no idea what kind, and I know NOTHING about them. I'm so afraid of getting a bad one/getting taken advantage of/not having my other family members approve that I've done nothing.
I just wish someone would pick out a car for me!
Can't wait to see which you got and why you chose it.

  8. Hello Cara!!! Oh, please don't get me wrong on the "old" car thing. What I really meant to say is that my 2003 car is starting to get old in the sense that things are not working properly. It has rattles and things that are breaking down, so I think it's time to change to something newer. I'm sorry if by any chance I offended you with that comment, believe me that you're car is not old! If it's any consolation, my boyfriend's car is from 1989 (almost as old as I am) and we both LOVE it!

Oh, and I COMPLETELY understand what you mean about "she is a girl and knows nothing about cars". I took my boyfriend (who knows a lot about cars) and he asked all the questions. I found it amuzing when they would ask: "oh wait, this car is for her!?!" like trying to say: "a woman can't drive this kind of car! She must be a spoiled brat"... hahahahaha, it was so funny!

  11. OMG, soooo pretty! Get a car as pretty as your clothes and you will be fine! (No, that is impossible!)

Do you work with "fashion"? Because you should! Really.

  12. Good for you! I hate looking for a new car, which we are about to do probably too. When I was growing up we kept our cars forever ... my dad just sold off in the last few years the car he bought in 1980 when I was in first grade. He would have kept driving it but parts were getting too hard to find! And my sis was in her late 30's before she and her hubby had a car younger than her. Mine is only seven years old but hubby wants to change it. I wish I was as excited as you!

Love the texture of your dress. very pretty!

  13. I love this color combo. The beige + maroon. I saw it on another block somwhere I think it's lovely.
As someone who's never driven a car LESS than seven years old a 2003 seems like a luxury. I'm like 'man I bet he CD player isn't even in the TRUNK'. My Acura is a '96 but I'm probably going to drive her until she falls apart.

  19. Hello Cynthia! I'm SO sorry I didn't read this comment until now. I'm SO behind on my comments. Thank you so much for all your sweet comments. To answer your question, no, I don't work with "fashion" (I wish I did though!). I work in my family's business which is a tool and construction equipment distributor. I'm a purchasing manager.

Once again, thanks for all your support! You're the best :)
