When: Thursday November 11, 2010

Purple dress: H&M
Mustard cardi: Target
Black Nine West belt: TJ Maxx
Black flower brooch: Forever XXI
Black tights: TJ Maxx
Black Liz Claiborne purse: TJ Maxx
Black booties: Payless Shoe Source

Where: Went to work, finished an essay paper, and packed my bags for my exciting weekend adventures!

I am loving today's color combo! It's so bright and bold! I really like the idea of wearing a collar shirt under dresses to make an unexpected professional look. I decided to add the cardigan as well to have an extra layer of color and warmth. I'm really pleased with this creative layering!

I also decided to add the flower zipper brooch on the cardigan. I think it gives the entire outfit that extra something.

Do you ever layer collar shirts under dresses?

Here are all the ways in which I've worn this dress:

  4. Very nice. You are bold trying these interesting outfits. For me the black flower bourch was the powerful focal point as it brought the balance to the entire outfit and stabilized it, reinforcing the black purse, belot, tights and shoes. When stepping out, its nice to have something to balance it all nicely.
