Something other than Red, Black, or White
When: Monday September 13, 2010
What:
White tee: Saks (Panama)
Plaid skirt: B-day present from my parents
Black belt: Christmas present from my parents
Black pumps: ? (Panama)
Blue Liz Claiborne purse: TJ Max
Bunny ring: From this seller on eBay
Where: Catching up on some to-do's around the house
Comments:
When I see this cute plaid skirt my parents gave me for my birthday, I immediately think of pairing it with either red, white, or black. And although any of those colors would look great, I always wish I could add a little more color.
So today I decided to add some pops of aqua! I really like how the extra color makes the entire look more fresh and interesting.

Do you ever just add an extra color even though it's not included anywhere else in your outfit?
Here are all the ways in which I've worn this plaid skirt:

You look gorgeous, as always!
ReplyDeleteI actually did that today; my dress is black, blue and green but I added a yellow necklace as a little pop. Fun! :)
I like the way you styled it but, I think the skirt might also work with purple or yellow!
ReplyDeleteI love adding pops of color! I think its a great way to make an outfit more interesting. This is a great look, and the aqua adds a lot to it! :)
ReplyDeletemmm, seems like it would be a very versatile skirt. I love that the plaid is on the bias, not vertical / horizontal. I agree with the previous poster, it might look lovely with yellow! I never think to pick a different color - or am too scared it won't work. :) good for you!
ReplyDeletemy gusto was to see the aqua earings like goldbugs. thanks for trying all this combinations out. its fun. jgm
