Comments:
Today is the 2nd day of my weekend remix mini-challenge! I thought it would be a good idea to prove how this casual dress can look a lot more business appropriate with just a few items. So I added this patterned collar shirt underneath the dress to add interest. Then I added the blazer for that "business feel". I love how sophisticated the look turned out to be!
This is actually the first time I wear the blazer from my business suit with other clothes other than the suit itself. I have read millions of times that its a good idea to mix-and-match one's suit pieces, but I never tried it until now! I'm happy I did! My look today, btw, was actually inspired by Kyla from Blue Collar Catwalk. Yeah I know, twice in one week? I can't help it, she has some really great fashion ideas!
So today's activities included traveling all the way to New York to pick up my boyfriend's dream car and then drive all the way back. It sure was a LOT of time traveling, but my boyfriend is so so so happy. We were so relieved when we finally sat in the car and realized that he was sitting in his dream car, especially after everything that happened yesterday. He is soooo happy with his new car, and I'm so happy for him!
Its a classic Porsche if anyone was wondering... its a Porsche 928 S4 to be exact. Anywhoo, what matters is that it has always been his dream car and now he finally has it. Hip hip hurray to that!

Wow. Your sweetie now owns a Porsche. That is exciting! And your remixes are going well!
ReplyDeleteI love this variation on the dress! Ha, did you know that tomorrow is magenta, black & white day on Kimberly's (Fab Finds Under $50)inspiration calendar for May? Also - gorgeous car! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI really like this one ... who would have thought to layer under like that! hmmmm .... I'm wondering what I have that I haven't thought to do that with ...
ReplyDeleteThat Porsche is awesome, but I think I must admit that I like your outfit better. :) Love the business-y take on something casual and particularly something with such noticeable color. It's proof that pink doesn't just have to be about play and fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great remix! Totally work appropriate and cute to boot.
ReplyDeletealltumbledown:a modest attempt at style
I had to go back to your previous remix of this pink dress as I couldnt believe how different it looks today. Amazing. Also, congratulations to Alejandro. The Porsche looks great. JGM.
ReplyDeleteReally love the business take on this outfit. You did a great job of pulling all the different elements together to make it a great thing to wear to work.
ReplyDeleteOops for got to say that Alejos car is sooooooooo cooooooool and I know that he will really enjoy cruising around in it. Im sure you will enjoy being in the passengers seat as well. Enjoy the dinner out on us for the grand celebration!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, great transformation. From a great summer feel look to a stunning business/casual feel look.
