Giving yellow a second chance
When: Monday May 31, 2010
What:
Yellow top: ? (Panama)
Blue skirt: Stevens (Panama)
Caramel belt: Forever XXI
Brown wedges: Payless Shoe Source
Brown Liz Claiborne purse: TJ Max
Where: Spent a relaxing day sleeping in and eating a delicious popsicle ;)
Comments:
Are there colors that you just don't seem to like how they look on you? Well for me, that color is yellow. For some reason, I feel that most shades of yellow make me look either pale or sick (or both!). But I have come to discover that in those cases there are probably at least one or two shades of that color that could actually look quite nice on you. So I decided to give yellow a chance and bought a couple of yellow pieces. And who would have known that one of my favorite pieces (a mustard top I used a couple of days ago) turned out to be yellow? Goes to show, some things deserve a second chance ;)

Love the super sunny ensemble!
ReplyDeleteYou were pretty creative to pair that yellow with that unexpected blue. I am currently stocking up on blouses in that style but have no idea what they are called. :P
ReplyDeleteI like your remix section-where you show how you've worn it before. It's so relatable!

ReplyDeletewhat? You look good in yellow! More yellow please! :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful colors!!
ReplyDeleteThat color combo is amazing! I really love it. And the accessories you have selected really make the outfit what it is. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like your theory that there is a version of every color for every complexion. My hubby likes me to wear red, but I'm not a fan of a bright, primary red ... but burgundy seems to do the trick for me. I'd love to find a yellow I could wear! Yours looks great.
ReplyDeleteSo summer. Like the ways you are using the skirt.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite color combos. I eschewed yellow as well for awhile but now I LOVE it! Wear all shades of it, even though there are a few I should probably steer clear of, haha.
ReplyDeleteYellow and turquoise makes my heart sing. I love it. and i love the stacked bangles. I feel like I need to get better at layering jewelry.

ReplyDeleteYou always look so fresh and pretty! Love this skirt. Especially with that yellow top! Glad you gave yellow another chance - I can't pull that colour of but you do it wonderfully :)
ReplyDeleteI really like this bright shade of yellow. It looks very nice. I too do not have much yellow in my wardrobe. Maybe I will give it a chance!
