Christmas Spirit

When: Friday December 18, 2009
What:
Purple plaid skirt: B-Day present from my parents! (Panama)
Grey cape: Present from my brother living in Spain
Purple tights: Target
Black booties: Payless Shoe Source
Black Nine West belt: TJ Max
Rocker purse: Panama
Floral pin: Forever XXI
Jewelry: Panama
Where: Wondering around the Inner Harbour, including a little shopping, sightseeing, and dinner with my boyfriend.
Comments:
I am soooo pleased with today's outfit! My brother living in Spain got me this grey cape when I first moved to the U.S., and I loved it from the very beggining! The only problem was that I wasnt sure what to pare it with. For today's outfit, I came up with the idea of using the "arm holes" to belt the cape and make it much more form fitting. I love the results! I especially love the gold accesory details and the floral pin of course.
Today was a fun filling day! Me and my boyfriend went to the Inner Harbour to wander around and do some fun activities. The best part was that we discovered all of these Christmas decorations that really made me feel the Christmas spirit. We first encountered a beautifully light up house in the middle of nowhere:

I thought it was sooo pretty! But the absolute COOLEST discovery of the day was a huge gingerbread village:

As I have said before, I have a certain obsession with gingerbread houses. All that candy and the cuteness of the house designs just make me sooo happy! Out of the three houses, my favorite was this one:

I thought this house was so engineous and cute! I love that they used ice cream cones as tree trunks and green m&m's as leaves. I also looove the originality behind using Pop tarts as decorations as well as the door:

I have a plaid cape from the 70's that I get swallowed by. Now that you have taught me how to belt it I may have to give it another try!
